Paneer Bhurji/Paneer podimas/Veg substitute for egg podimas/Paneer poriyal/Side dish for chapathi and rice/Paneer sabzi/Paneer dry recipe

Paneer Bhurji/Paneer Podimas

Paneer bhurji is a great side dish for chapathi and rice. It is a very different recipe for paneer lovers. It tastes much similar to egg podimas. It is a veg substitute for egg bhurji. 


Serves-2

Cooking Time-5 mins

Adjust the Ingredients according to the number of people you cook for.

Ingredients

Oil-2

Cumin seeds-1 tsp

Onion-1(finely chopped)

Tomato-1(finely chopped)

Green chilli-1(finely chopped)

Ginger garlic paste-1 spoon

Turmeric powder-1 tsp

Garam masala-1 tsp

Red chilli powder-1 tsp

Coriander powder-1 tsp

Salt-1 tsp

Grated Paneer-1 cup(200 gms)

Coriander leaves-few

Recipe

Take a pan, add 2 tbsp oil. After the oil is heated, add 1 tsp of cumin seeds and after it splutters, add 1 onion(finely chopped) and saute till golden brown. Add 1 green chilli(finely chopped), 1 spoon of ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell of the paste goes.

Add 1 Tomato(finely chopped) and saute till it's mushy. Now add, 1 tsp of garam masala, 1 tsp of red chilli powder, 1 tsp of coriander powder and mix well. Now add 1 tsp of salt, 1 tsp turmeric powder and mix well. 

Now add 1 cup(200 gms) of grated paneer and mix well along with the masalas.

Garnish it with Coriander leaves and transfer to a serving plate.

It goes well with chapathi and rice.
