Coconut Milk Pulao

Coconut Milk Pulao is a Quick and Appetizing recipe with no Masala powders. It is a very Simple Pulao recipe, yet an Yummy Dish to make. Beginners can also try this recipe as it has few steps and ingredients to make the recipe. Coconut milk is very healthy and soothing for the stomach. As it has no spice powders, it is a very Appetizing and healthy Pulao recipe. Let's get started with the Ingredients and the recipe with Step-by-Step process.


Serves-2
Cooking Time-3 Mins

Adjust the Ingredients according to the Number of Persons You are going cook for.

Ingredients:

Coconut Milk -2 Cups
Basmathi rice-1 Cup
Bay leaf-1
Star anise-1
Cardomom-2
Cloves-2
Cinnamon-1
Cumin seeds-1  Spoon
Fennel seeds-1  Spoon
Ginger garlic paste- 1 Spoon
Onions-2 (Thinly sliced)
Green Chilli-2 (Slit)
Cashewnuts-10
Oil- 2 Tbsp
Ghee-  1 Tbsp
Rock salt- 1 Spoon
Coriander leaves-Few

Recipe:
                    Take a Pressure Cooker, add 2 tbsp Oil and 1 tbsp Ghee. After it get's heated, add the Whole spices one by one. Add 1 Bay leaf, 1 Star anise, 2 Cardomom, 2 Cloves, 1 Cinnamon. Saute a little and add 1 spoon of Cumin seeds and 1 spoon Fennel seeds. Let it splutter. Now add 2 thinly sliced Onions and saute slightly. Add 2 green chillies(slit), 1 spoon of Ginger garlic paste and Saute till raw smell goes. Add few Cashewnuts and saute till golden brown. Now add 2 cups of Coconut milk and let it boil.
Take a 1 cup of Basmathi rice which is soaked for 20 mins and wash it twice until clean. When the Coconut milk starts boiling, add 1 spoon of Rock salt and washed basmathi rice and mix gently. Close the lid and cook for 2 whistles.After the pressure is released, open the lid and mix gently. Now the dish is ready to be served hot. Fry few cashewnuts and thinly sliced onions in ghee and garnish it on top. Transfer to a serving plate and add few Coriander leaves. Yummy Coconut pulao can be served with Spicy veg Kurma.
