Semiya Kesari
Semiya kesari is a Classic Indian dessert similar to Rava kesari but mainly with Bambino/Vermicilli, ghee, sugar and dry fruits.
It is a quick and simple dessert recipe to make. Let's get started with the recipe.
Serves-4
Cooking Time-10 mins
Adjust the Ingredients according to the number of people you cook for.
Ingredients
Sugar-1 cup
Semiya-1 cup
Water-1 1/2 cup
Ghee-1/2 cup
Cashewnuts-10
Cardamom powder-1 tsp
Food colour-1 tbsp
Recipe
Add 1 spoon of ghee and roast the semiya / Vermicelli till golden brown. In case of roasted vermicelli we can use as it is.
Take a pan, add 1 tbsp ghee and roast 10 cashew nuts and transfer to a bowl. Add 2 cups of water and let it boil. When it starts boiling, add 1 cup of roasted semiya and cook well.
When the vermicelli is cooked well, add 1 cup of sugar and mix well. Add 2 tbsp ghee to the mixture. Now add a small pinch of food colour diluted in water. I have added red colour. Now mix all the Ingredients well.
Add the roasted cashew nuts to it. When the vermicelli is non-sticky to the pan, kesari is ready to be served.
