Wheat Bread Halwa

Wheat Bread halwa is a healthy and delicious Halwa recipe made of Wheat bread. It is mainly made in marriages and served with Biryanis. It is a simple halwa to make and consist of only 3 main Ingredients: Milk, Wheat bread and sugar.


Serves-3

Cooking time-10 mins

Adjust the Ingredients according to the number of people you cook for.

Ingredients

Wheat Bread-7 slices

Sugar-1/2 cup

Milk-1 cup

Cashewnuts-10

Dry grapes-10

Cardomom powder-1 tsp

Ghee-3 tbsp

Recipe

 Take 7 slices of wheat bread and cut the sides of the bread. Cut the bread slices into small cubes.

 Take a pan add 2 tbsp of ghee and roast 10 cashew nuts till golden brown. Add 10 dry grapes and fry them and transfer to a plate. 

In the same ghee roast the bread slices till golden brown. Now add 1 cup of boiled and cooled milk and mix well without any lumps. When all the milk is absorbed add 1/2 cup sugar and mix well. Add 1 tsp of cardomom powder, roasted dry grapes and roasted cashew nuts and mix well. Add 1 tsp ghee(optional) for taste and mix well. Now the halwa is non-sticky to the pan. Wheat bread halwa is ready to serve.
