Cooking Time-45 mins
Adjust the Ingredients according to the number of people you cook for.
Ingredients
Red Rice flour-500 gms
jaggery-1 cup
Grated coconut-1 cup
Ghee-3 spoons
Hot water-1 cup
Salt-1 spoon
Recipe
Take a damp white cloth, add 500 gms of red rice flour in it. Close it completely and steam the flour in the Idly vessel for 30 mins. After 30 mins, remove the steamed flour and transfer to a vessel.
Dissolve 1 spoon of salt in a cup of hot water and add to the steamed flour gradually and mix well without lumps.
Again steam the red rice flour in the Idly vessel for 15 mins in a damp white cloth.
Now the red rice flour is cooked well and smells awesome. Now transfer the steamed flour to the vessel. Add 1 cup of jaggery, 1 cup of grated coconut, 3 spoons of ghee and mix well.
Now red rice puttu is ready to be served. This tastes good as it is or can be had with kadalai curry. Yummy Healthy breakfast recipe is now done.
